This tree embodies the exquisite art of the literati style, with its slender trunk relative to its height. The clearly defined trunk lines exude a refined elegance. Literati-style azaleas are rare, making this a refined bonsai that offers a different charm from typical patterned trees. Late 1920s (end of the Taisho era), Fuji Nishiki, born naturally from seed in the mountains and fields, develops its unique form within the laws of nature, without human intervention. Combining wild vitality with the aesthetic beauty of nature, this natural gem quietly awaits its moment.

Provenance

1950年代〜1960年代（昭和20年代〜30年代）: 盆栽愛好家の手により山採りされ、初めて人工的な管理下に置かれる。この頃から文人樹形への作り込みが始まり、樹高に対して幹を細く収めた独特の風韻が形成されていく。
1980年代〜2000年代: 品種自体が激減する中、展示レベルに達する稀有な個体として大切に育成される。流れのはっきりとした幹筋に、削ぎ落とされた気品が宿り、典型的な模様木とは一線を画す雅盆としての価値が確立される。
2020年頃: 三代目・和氣佳洋の管理下に入る。現存する不二錦の中でも特に完成度の高い一樹として、貴重な遺伝的価値と芸術的価値を併せ持つ文化財的存在となっている。

さつき盆栽は、季節ごとの手入れの「タイミング」で、樹姿と花の品格が大きく変わります。特に重要なのは、剪定の時期です。さつきは一般に夏（6〜7月頃）に翌年の花芽を形成するため、剪定は「花後できるだけ早く（主に6月）」に行うのが基本です。

和洋園の「預かりサービス」では、単に枯らさないための維持ではなく、花後剪定→夏の花芽形成→秋冬の樹勢維持という、さつきのサイクルに合わせて年間管理を組み立てます。到達したい姿を踏まえて、適期の作業を積み重ねていくのが特徴です。

年間管理スケジュール

春（芽動き〜開花）

芽出し管理（芽の整理・樹勢と枝数のバランス調整）
水管理（用土の状態に応じて調整）
病害虫対策（発生状況に応じて予防・対処）
植え替え（必要時：樹勢・用土状態を見て適期に実施）

初夏（開花後〜6月）

花がら摘み（結実を防ぎ、樹勢低下を避ける）
剪定（花後できるだけ早く実施）
